SABI SABI EARTH LODGE
A South African sanctuary settled in the Sabi Sabi private game reserve, the Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge uses a modest blend of texture, light and space to create a quite simply unique place to stay. At one with nature – both in terms of structure (the lodge itself is seamlessly sculpted into an earthy slope) and ethos – guests are treated to twice-daily treks into the wilderness with a resident Game Ranger and Shangaan Tracker, either by open Land Rover or on foot.
THE RESPONSIBLE SAFARI COMPANY
Offering highly personalised travel experiences across Central Africa – including Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and skirting the Indian Ocean – The Responsible Safari Company pledges to give back to local communities and the environment. Founded on a passion for travel, they have something special to offer everyone – from lone adventurers, to romantic honeymooners seeking something a little different and groups setting out on a joint endeavour.
HERITAGE SUITES HOTEL
A sophisticated, boutique retreat nestled in tropical gardens, just a few paces from the Siem Reap River, Heritage Suite Hotel in a little-known gem of Cambodia. Heritage Adventures provides intelligent and enlightening insights into the abundant culture and extensive history enveloping the retreat – from a spiritual viewing of the Angkor temples, to a boat tour of Tonlé Sap lake – always keeping one eye on their refined, luxurious ideal.
Nestled in the heart of historic Chang Mai, Tamarind Village takes its name from a magnificent 200-year-old tamarind tree, which cools the quaint building in its shady embrace. As well combining the winning elements of design, service and comfort in an ideal base for exploring the city, the hotel offers half and full day excursions that allow guests to experience the best of Thailand’s vibrant culture.
GREAT BEAR LODGE
Get up close and personal with British Columbia’s grizzly bears at Great Bear Lodge! This five-bedroom centre for ecotourism makes the perfect spot for viewing grizzlies, wolves and bald eagles – floating effortlessly on the mouth of a salmon river and thus echoing the sublime grace of the neighbouring bears themselves. Aside from enjoying the beautiful scenery with a glass of fine wine in hand, guests can also opt to take a guided walk or boat excursion.
