Recognising the dedication and passion of the guides who go an extra mile to offer a truly transformation experience to their guests, often through some of the most remote areas of the world.
KINERET MUÑOZ – Tierra Patagonia
Kineret has the gift of creating bonds with travellers, spreading her passion for Torres del Paine and promoting social integration. In 2013 an accident left Kineret in a wheelchair; she returned to work as soon as she could because she loves what she does. She motivates our guests to challenge their own limits and not give up. Her passion for the walks that she did for many years enthuses guests, who often bring her mementos of the trails to show her that they were thinking about her as they hiked. In spite of her accident, she inspires many people to make the most of their stay. In return, guests have sponsored her physiotherapy with Project Walk USA and she is currently hosted by former guest whilst participating in a research programme.

Lewis Mangaba is not only a guide, he is a man whose pulse beats in time with the heart of Africa. He is a storyteller, a poet- a man who inspires passion for preserving our wildlife heritage to all who encounter him. Lewis’s intuition in the bush ensures a fantastic experience for his guests. He’s affectionately known as the medicine man, and once trekked deep into the wilds of Mana Pools to find a plant to treat mosquito bites because a guest, who had been bitten, was averse to the repellents.
